This project is based in a composition of a series of volumes in addition, subtraction and intersection. The client requested an easy-to-use and easy-to-live space. The response was to create a purist house, maximizing the areas to create a more unified scheme across the private and social areas.
A double height proportion to the main volume creates a sense of freedom where natural light and ventilation generously flow. One of the main features of the house is an oxide concrete wall in the entrance which exposes the stucco and produces a natural patina that will age with the house. Niches for natural light illuminate the entrance in the south façade from the outside to the inside of the house. The mezzanine, which serves as a home office, makes for a visual connection of the overall space.
